Wrexham The new Formula Rally series kicks off in one of the country's traditional Rally heartlands-the slippery forest tracks of mid-Wales. Many of the Principalities' most famous stages are featured with the classic Sweet Lamb/Hafren stage topping the bill.

Carlisle Set in the north west of England, the second round of the series takes the fearless competitors into the punishing ëkiller' Kielder Forest complex. Once the scourge of the RAC Rally, Kielder features long, fast gravel surface stages that are the ultimate test for man and machine.

Glasgow Although based in Dumfries, the Scottish National Rally captures the imagination via its high profile, promotional start in downtown Glasgow. Thereafter the high-speed action takes the competitors to the heart of Scotland-the challenging stages where world champion Colin mCRae cut his teeth.

Cardiff The first asphalt round on the calendar is an exciting, all-new rally based in South Wales. The event, run exclusively for Formula Rally, includes a spectacular stage set within the walls of Cardiff Castle before crews face the infamous Eprynt stages located in the heart of the Black Mountains.

Dublin Run for the first time in 2000, the Rally of Ireland is a futuristic new rally based in Dublin. The event seeks to capitalise on its location in and around the thriving Irish capital city and the all asphalt itinerary includes the celebrated Sally Gap special stage-one of the most demanding on the Emerald Isle.

York Based in the historic City of York, the south round of the Formula Rally series sees a return to another traditional rally stronghold-the North York Moors. The event features many of the classic and fearsome stages in the Dalby Forest complex.

Ashford To ensure Formula Rally enjoys nationwide coverage, the penultimate round takes place in Kent close to London. The event is centred around Ashford and will include stages at Brands Hatch as well as speed tests on the technically challenging smooth forest tracks of the North Downs.

Oxford The Oxford rally is an inspirational event being organised to guarantee a thrilling and fitting climax to Formula Rally. The rally is based in the city centre and, to maximise spectator and sponsor appeal includes stages at Blenheim Palace and Cornbury Park. The season's grand finale will climax with an awards evening and fireworks party.
